Letter home 4

Dear Larry and Sara,

The war is going much better now that the Union finally won a major battle and the rebels have lost their second best general, General "Stonewall" Jackson. By now, I'm sure you've heard of Sherman's March to the Sea. I honestly believe that it was a big success. We've truly struck fear into the hearts of our opponents. To be honest, I'm quite surprised I made it to this point in the war. I've seen so much death, both in the battlefield and in the hospital. Already this war is bloodier than our American Revolution. So many people have lost their lives for this war, I believe it is only fair that we honor these men by emerging victorious.

                                                                                                                              Sincerely,
                                                                                                                              Stephen Taylor
